Terms and Conditions for thecoachcompany.co.uk Ltd Regular Bus Service

1. Booking and Payment

  • All passengers are required to pre-book their tickets and make full payment online prior to their journey. No on-the-spot or cash payments will be accepted on the day of travel.

  • Tickets purchased for our regular bus service are non-refundable.

  • Passengers can transfer their ticket to another day, subject to availability and provided:

    • The service is running on the requested day.

    • The transfer request is made at least 24 hours before the original travel date.

    • A processing fee of £10 will be charged for any changes made to the ticket, including, but not limited to, the name of the passenger or the travel date.

2. Disabilities and Special Needs

  • Passengers with disabilities and their accompanying carers must notify us prior to travel to ensure we have adequate facilities.

3. Pet Policy

  • Pets are strictly prohibited on the bus.

  • Exceptions are made for guide dogs and assistance dogs, which are allowed on board to aid passengers.

4. Smoking and Vaping

  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited on all buses. This includes e-cigarettes, vapes, and any other devices that produce smoke or vapor.

5. Luggage

  • Each passenger is allowed to bring one piece of hand luggage and one carry-on bag. The luggage must be able to fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead luggage compartment.

6. Right to Refuse Service

  • Thecoachcompany.co.uk Ltd reserves the right to deny service to any individual who:

    • Is noticeably intoxicated.

    • Demonstrates disruptive or unreasonable behavior.

    • Poses a threat to other passengers, our staff, or the vehicle.

7. Personal Belongings

  • All personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the passenger. Thecoachcompany.co.uk Ltd is not liable for any damage, loss, or theft of personal items during the journey.

  • No personal belongings are to be left on the vehicles at any time.

8. Force Majeure

  • Thecoachcompany.co.uk Ltd will not be held responsible or liable for any cancellations or delays due to unforeseen events or circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: acts of God, strikes, riots, acts of war, epidemics, governmental action, natural disasters, or any other emergency. 

9. Delays and Cancellations

  • While Thecoachcompany.co.uk Ltd will always strive to maintain its schedule, the company will not be responsible for any delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions or roadworks.

11. Customer Late / No-show

  • The Coach company will not be held responsible or liable should you miss the bus and as such no refund or compensation will be offered. Multiple SMS messages will be sent to you before leaving Alton Towers, but should you still miss the bus, below are some numbers you may find useful to arrange alternative transport at your convenience and expense.

12. Minimum number of passengers required to run the service.

  • Please be advised that the service to Alton Towers requires a minimum number of passengers to run. If we are unable to carry out the service due to this, you will be notified at least 72 hours in advance. e.g. On a Tuesday, should you be traveling on the following Saturday. You will of course be offered an alternative date.
